Walking in Zermatt, Switzerland 4K - Summer Sunset on the Matterhorn - Swiss Mountain Village

Sunset in Zermatt, from the top of the hill above the village. From up here the whole town sits in its valley, and beyond it the Matterhorn — cloud-wrapped this evening, because a thunderstorm was working through the high peaks. The walk descends into the village as the gold burns off and dusk comes down. Every so often, out in the range, lightning flashes against the mountains: a storm you can watch from the village lanes below. Swiss village ambience, taken with binaural mics so the sound sits in three dimensions — footsteps on the lane, the town settling in for the night. The 4K footage runs at sixty frames, smooth enough to hold the lightning when it comes. A long way from the New England walks, but the same instinct: be outside at the hour the light changes, and move slowly enough to let the place be itself.
