Fog Forest Ambience

I record long walks through New England, mostly at night, mostly in weather most people stay in for — rain on Beacon Hill, Salem at 2 AM in late October, small towns during snowstorms. The camera is 4K. The audio is true binaural, recorded on the walk itself.

How these are made

One continuous take, on location. No looping, no added sound, no AI-generated anything. If a church bell rings twice at two in the morning, that's because it rang twice. The walks are unhurried on purpose — people put them on to sleep, to study, or to have a window somewhere else open for a while.

Where

Boston and Beacon Hill, Cambridge, Salem, Plymouth, and the towns between — with occasional walks further afield. 113 walks since 2021.

The Quiet List

A note when a new walk goes up. Four or five a year, usually autumn and winter. Nothing else.
