Snowstorm Walk Through a Quiet New England Town | Winter Night Ambience

A snowstorm, a small New England town, and the hours after dark. I'll leave the town unnamed here — under this much snow it hardly matters which one it is. The storm had sent everyone home by the time this walk starts, so the streets belong to the falling snow and the streetlights glowing inside it. Filmed in real time, with natural sound and nothing else — no talking, no music, no score telling you what to feel about snow. The snow is convincing on its own. It runs nearly an hour, long enough to fall asleep to, or to work beside, or to leave on for the low light of it. A town in a night storm gets quieter in layers: first the traffic goes, then the voices, then even the wind seems to lower itself, until what's left is snowfall doing its slow work on every surface at once. That is what this walk was made to carry.
