[4K] Walking in Freezing Rain | New England Old Mill Town | Binaural Sound Ambience
An evening walk through one of New England's old mill towns, in freezing rain. At the start the rain is the ice kind — it lands harder than water should — and somewhere along the way it turns over to snow. By the end of the walk the sound has gone soft. That change, freezing rain becoming snowfall inside a single walk, is the reason to put this one on. The town keeps its own quiet: an old working town, deep in winter. The binaural recording holds the change honestly — the ice, the town, and eventually the snow, each exactly where it was. Use it at night or over a desk if you like; the mill town won't mind. Better, though, to listen to it as a record of one specific evening when the weather couldn't decide what it wanted to be.
Best with headphones — the audio is true binaural. Watch on YouTube (recommended on TV).
The Quiet List
A note when a new walk goes up. Four or five a year, usually autumn and winter. Nothing else.
