Midnight Walk in the Rain | Cambridge Harborwalk | Binaural City Sounds [4K] ASMR Ambience
Midnight, heavy rain, the Harborwalk near Kendall Square in Cambridge. Across the water the Boston skyline is there and not there — buildings hidden and half-returned by rolling fog. The subway trains still run over the Longfellow Bridge at this hour, back and forth between Cambridge and Boston, and they pass through the recording the way trains pass through a night: arriving from somewhere specific, gone the same way. Everything else is rain. Heavy, steady winter rain, caught binaurally so it falls around you rather than at you. Twenty-three minutes is not long, but midnight walks are not long; they are a route you know, done once, in weather most people watch from a window. The fog, the trains, the skyline keeping its distance — all of it was out there on the Harborwalk that night, and none of it was added after.
Best with headphones — the audio is true binaural. Watch on YouTube (recommended on TV).
The Quiet List
A note when a new walk goes up. Four or five a year, usually autumn and winter. Nothing else.
