Walking in the Rain 4K - Harvard University - 3D Binaural Audio - ASMR
Rain at Harvard, in Cambridge, just north of Boston. The walk goes in through Harvard Yard and takes its time there, then finishes in the heart of Harvard Square. Most of the sound is the rain itself, landing on the umbrella a few inches overhead — recorded with binaural microphones, so it stays exactly where it happened, close and slightly to either side. There's a steadiness to walking a campus in the rain: the pace slows to match the weather, and the place lets you pass through without asking anything of you. Filmed in 4K at a slower, film-like frame rate, on location. It works for study, which seems fitting, given the setting. It works for sleep. Mostly it's the sound of rain doing what rain does, over somewhere worth standing in the middle of.
Best with headphones — the audio is true binaural. Watch on YouTube (recommended on TV).
The Quiet List
A note when a new walk goes up. Four or five a year, usually autumn and winter. Nothing else.
