Midnight Rainy Walk through Cambridge | Binaural Rain | Sounds for Study and Sleep | ASMR
Midnight in Cambridge, in the rain. The route is simple and takes most of an hour: Harvard Square to Central Square, then down to Memorial Drive, where the walk ends along the Charles River looking across at the Boston skyline. The recording is binaural throughout — natural rainfall, and underneath it whatever the city still has going at that hour. Rain at midnight sounds different from rain in the day; there is less to compete with it. The recording keeps that — footsteps, weather, the occasional interruption, and long stretches where the rain has the street to itself. Camera and microphones went out together, for whoever needs an hour of this: sleep, study, or the far side of a long day. The walk ends at the water, with the skyline across it. Most good night walks end at water.
Best with headphones — the audio is true binaural. Watch on YouTube (recommended on TV).
The Quiet List
A note when a new walk goes up. Four or five a year, usually autumn and winter. Nothing else.
