Rain in Cambridge, Massachusetts — a neighborhood of Victorian-era houses just outside the Harvard campus. The sidewalks are deep red brick, part of the neighborhood's history, and the houses are the reason to walk here: each one built in its own style, no two answers alike. The rain keeps to the umbrella for the length of the walk. This recording is binaural; through headphones the rain sits overhead and the street keeps its distance. There are no landmarks here in the postcard sense — the university is nearby but never the subject. Just houses, brick, rain, and the particular quiet of a residential street in bad weather.
