[4K] Walking in the Rain | Cambridge to Harvard | City Binaural Sounds | ASMR Ambience
A spring morning in the rain, walking from Porter Square down Massachusetts Avenue to the Harvard campus in Cambridge. An hour and eight minutes, most of it on one long street. The rain drums on the umbrella from the first block to the last, and the binaural microphones keep it exactly there — close and regular, just above your head — with the sounds of early spring in the city underneath. There's a case to be made that Mass Ave in the rain is Cambridge at its most itself: no event, no destination, just the avenue doing what it does on a wet morning. The walk ends at Harvard, the way a lot of Cambridge walks do, but it isn't really about arriving. It was all shot in 4K on the avenue itself, and it runs long enough for a full stretch of study or the front half of a night's sleep; the umbrella never lets up.
Best with headphones — the audio is true binaural. Watch on YouTube (recommended on TV).
The Quiet List
A note when a new walk goes up. Four or five a year, usually autumn and winter. Nothing else.
