4K Walking in Boston | Homeless on Atkinson Street | Walk to Methadone Mile
A walk through Boston, from the South End to Melnea Cass Boulevard and Mass Ave — the stretch known as Methadone Mile. The city relocated people here, onto Atkinson Street, and tents now stand all along the street. This recording is not scenery. It is the same walking camera this channel points at harbor fog and brick alleyways, pointed instead at a street where people are living outside, and it does what it always does: keeps moving, keeps listening, adds nothing. An hour and twelve minutes, filmed on location. Some walks are for falling asleep to; this one is for seeing a part of Boston the postcard views leave out, at walking pace, without commentary. If it stays with you, the description's request is a fair one — donate to homeless and rehabilitation charities.
Best with headphones — the audio is true binaural. Watch on YouTube (recommended on TV).
The Quiet List
A note when a new walk goes up. Four or five a year, usually autumn and winter. Nothing else.
